Role Description

We are seeking a Construction Manager / Site Manager for a full-time, on-site role based in Ho Chi Minh City & Dong Nai. This role will be responsible for overseeing construction projects, budgeting, ensuring construction safety, and project control.

Key responsibilities

  1. Report directly to and collaborate closely with the Project Manager & Project Director. Support the Project Director by proactively completing assigned duties on time and with thorough attention to detail.
  2. Manage and oversee work sites, coordinating site activities and assuring that all disciplines directly involved in the project are in phase with the project goals and objectives.
  3. Oversee and provide direction to main contractor (MC), subcontractors (Subcon), suppliers and Construction management & supervision consultant (CMCS) when doing substructure (deep basements) & superstructure construction works, ensuring quality standards are met.
  4. On behalf of the Owner, review / responses / advises all RFIs, RFAs come from main contractor & construction management consultant on-time.
  5. Responsible for achieving the requirements of the approved construction program.
  6. Proactively identify, mitigate, and track recurring construction issues.
  7. Adhere to legal regulations, building and safety codes, and other requirements.
  8. Attend coordination and site progress meetings; make regular trips to sites during construction from beginning until close-out, handover stage.
  9. Conduct and document quality assurance and safety inspections throughout the construction process, assuring working environment is maintained at acceptable levels, and tools and equipment are in good working condition.
  10. Maintain and update SOW and monitor contract obligations with a goal of building relationships with reliable contractors and vendors.
  11. Respond to work delays, emergencies, and other project disruptions.
  12. Contribute to internal management reports. Prepare reports as assigned

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 10+ years of construction experience, including at least 5+ years in high-rise building management.
  • Experience working in Dong Nai is highly preferred.
  • Fluent in Vietnamese and conversant in English.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, technologies, and technical drawings/contracts and ability to interpret technical drawings and contracts.
  • In-depth knowledge of local building codes, safety regulations, and PCCC (fire protection laws).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects while ensuring quality and compliance.
  • Familiarity with local regulations, construction laws, and authority inspection processes
